Naomi and the Home Folks entertained the growing crowd on Friday and Saturday. Throughout the day on Saturday there were performances on the main stage and in Southern Exposure's Solar Stage sponsored by High Country Press, a new part on MusicFest 'n Sugar Grove. |
Many local residents attend the MusicFest each year. The facilities, great food vendors and overall festival management make the outstanding music event a treasured outing for Sugar Grove/Cove Creek residents. MusicFest also draws people from outside the area who appreciate the intimate setting of the event. |
Barbeque prepared on site, coffee brewed with beans roasted on site, kettle corn, pizza, homemade potato chips, ice cream and more kept the crowd satisfied for the 2 day event. |
"The Old Cove Creek High School, home of the Doc and Merle Watson Folk Art Museum, is a great place to enjoy live music. Nestled in Sugar Grove, NC, the historic WPA-built school and surrounding grounds come alive with fantastic picking in a laid back outdoor setting where everyone can see the stage and hear the music while they mingle with the musicians." ~ www.docwatsonmusicfest.org (see link below) Links to references in this article and to sites related to the Watauga lake Boat Parade: |
